    Tonka Leadership Challenge (TLC)

is a group of students at Minnetonka High School who have taken a pledge to be drug and alcohol free and to act as leaders in the community. Students have the opportunity to be trained to deliver curriculum to middle school students, and to take part in a variety of community service projects. For more information, contact Head Football Coach and MHS PE teacher, Dave Nelson.

Students Promoting Positive Actions (SPPA) was initiated by a group of students in 2005 for the purpose of promoting healthy alternatives to drugs and alcohol. This small but active group has coordinated events such as the Mock Car Crash, MHS Ghost-Out, and the "What's Your Anti-Drug" campaign at the middle school. Participating students have been invited to speak on the issue of teen drug and alcohol use at parent panels, Tonka CARES task force meetings and for the Minnetonka School Board. For more information, contact contact MHS Guidance Counselor Keri Miller.
